Meet Erika Chiodi, LPCC
My Approach to Therapy
Hi, I’m Erika Chiodi a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Cincinnati, Ohio. I believe therapy is about creating a space where you can feel safe, heard, understood, and accepted—while also being encouraged to grow.
My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative. With nearly two decades of experience working in mental health care, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including outpatient, virtual, school-based, inpatient, and emergency care.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges. I also incorporate play, creativity, humor, and age-appropriate activities into sessions, particularly when working with children and adolescents. I believe therapy can be meaningful and challenging without always feeling heavy. Sometimes, a little laughter can be just as important as a difficult conversation.
I work with clients who may be navigating anxiety, life transitions, social challenges, emotional regulation, or executive functioning difficulties. I meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to their individual needs, strengths, personality, and goals.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you uncover your strengths, build confidence, develop useful tools, and discover new ways to move forward.
My hope is that clients leave therapy not only with practical skills, but with a greater understanding of themselves, increased confidence, and the belief that they are capable of handling whatever comes next.
At Seeds of Growth Counseling Services, I believe growth doesn't happen all at once. It starts with small steps, the right support, and a willingness to plant the seeds for something new.
Let's plant the seeds together.
